Angola’s representative at the maiden edition of Miss Africa Calabar 2016 Neurite Mendes on Saturday night emerged the winner. The event which took place at the International Conference Center, Tinapa Calabar was hosted by the Executive Governor of Cross River state; Senator Ben Ayade and many celebrities like Kiss Daniel, IK Osakoduwa, Dija, Victoria Kimani, Kate Henshaw, Uti Nwachukwu, VJ Adams, Kunle Ogunrinde among others.She becomes the first Miss Africa Climate Change ambassador.
Miss South Africa and Miss Cameroon were the first and second runner-ups respectively.
The beauty pageant with the theme “Green Economy, a tool for Sustainable Development” took place in Calabar, Cross River State.
Miss Angola is going home with a brand new 2016 Ford Escape.
