Two German archaeologists kidnapped in Kaduna State

Two German archeologists have been kidnapped in Jajela village, Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

The spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, Aliyu Usman, who confirmed the incident said the Germans were abducted at an excavation site on Wednesday morning, February 22. The anti-kidnapping and special forces have been deployed to rescue the victims.

"Unfortunately, the victims did not go to the site with policemen attached to them for security." Usman said.

"The case was reported by locals and we have swung into action to rescue them. So far, there is no demand for ransom or contact from the abductors," the PPRO added.
